Turbotax: Tuition & Transfer Amounts

Q: Why is one not able to transfer tuition amounts. Why does my tuition amount show a 0 dollar figure for transfer even though unused federal & Provincial amounts are more than $5000?

A: As shown in the video above, total credits earned from T2202A as well as unused credits from previous years would reduce the tax payable before (by default) these amounts are available to transfer. The transfer amounts have a maximum limit of $5000. Once, you've reduced your tax payable to the minimum amount it can be reduced, these unused tuition credits will be available for transfer.
